Help you build your professional skills and CEUs: ISHE offers regularly scheduled educational meetings and member-only Indiana hospital tours on topics such as engineering management, energy conservation, preventative maintenance, managing your medical equipment program, electrical safety, fire safety and codes and standard updates. These meetings alone are worth thousands of dollars ... yet as a member these educational meetings and healthcare facility tours are included in your membership! ISHE's hospital presentations / tours are typically eligible for 2.5 Contact Hours (0.25 CEUs), while our Spring Conference is typically eligible for 7.5 Contact Hours (0.75 CEUs), all pending approval by ASHE.
Help you build your professional network and gain new ideas: ISHE offers a statewide spring conference so you can learn the latest information on current issues from regulatory commissions, the Indiana State Department of Health, and ASHE. In addition, you can get to know and exchange ideas with society members from across the state.
Help you find resources: ISHE offers a member-only directory of membership that includes the official roster of members, officers, and associate members.
Help you promote the future of healthcare engineering. One of the great benefits of ISHE membership is that it makes your child or grandchild eligible for ISHE scholarships of up to $1,000 per year.

How does ISHE benefit the profession and your facility?

ISHE activities help members to further develop their professional abilities and provide opportunities for members to exchange ideas and keep abreast of their discipline through its meetings and contact with members. Healthcare facility employees and those working as healthcare engineers in healthcare facilities should choose "Full" membership.
Supplier members should choose "Associate" membership, which includes up to 3 individuals from your company.

Associate - Supplier - $295.00 (USD) Bundle (up to 3 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: February 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: February 01, 2026 No automatically recurring payments The Associate membership should be used by all suppliers. It includes up to 3 individuals (a membership "bundle") from your company. The first member applying will be assigned as the "bundle" administrator, and may add or update the other two members.

Associate membership may be granted to individuals not otherwise eligible for full membership, who are actively involved with hospital or health care engineering in the State of Indiana. Associate membership shall be granted only to those professionals who will make a significant contribution to the betterment of the Society.

Associate members shall enjoy the rights and privileges afforded full members with the exception of the right to vote and hold offices. Associate members may attend educational and business meetings, receive publication of the Society, and serve as committee members.

Full - Hospital Staff - $75.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: February 1st
Your membership renewal date will be: February 01, 2026 No automatically recurring payments "Full" membership is available only to an individual who is directly employed by a health care facility (i.e. an organization that provides direct patient care such as an acute care hospital, ambulatory care center, etc.) and who is interested in or has responsibility for the health care physical environment. (Suppliers should use the Associate membership.)

Individuals eligible for full membership in the Society shall be those active in the field of health care engineering in the State of Indiana. Society membership parallels the requirements for regular membership status in the American Society for Healthcare Engineering.
